Friends and Divers, are you looking for that once in a lifetime Hawaiian experience? We’ve got something for you that is definitely unique. These are seriously awesome trips, and they all start with an all-night Inter-island channel crossing. These are amazing dives for the diver who wants to get a dive trip that they will remember for a long time in. Cross an open ocean channel, dive through a mountain, visit hammerheads at 120′, look straight up 3000ft to Molokai’s sea cliffs. This is an epic trip!

Trip Itinerary

September 27th: 4 pm Safety Briefing for inter-island crossing,  5 pm depart for Lahaina Harbor.
(optional, you may choose to fly to Maui -airfare not included)

September 28th: 7 am pick up of customers and crew in Lahaina harbor, the first day of dives will be on Lanai. We will return to the Lahaina Harbor for the evening.

Lanai Dive Sites:

  • West Wall
  • Monolith
  • Cathedrals

September 29th: We will be diving Maui this day. Some of the most famous sites in Hawaii! After these dives, we will return to the Lahaina Harbor.

Maui Dive Sites:

  • Molokini (West)
  • Molokini (East)
  • Carthaginian Wreck

September 30th: Depart for Hawaii Kai via the North Shore of Molokai.

Molokai Dive Sites:

  • Mokuhooniki (Hammerhead Dive)
  • Sea Cave (Snorkel)
  • Blue Hole
  • Ilio Point

Arrive back at Hawaii Kai around 6:30pm.

How we get there:
If you don’t want to make the crossing on the Sea Fox from Hawaii Kai, (experienced Open Sea mariners only recommended for this crossing, if the wind comes up these can be rough trips), fly one-way to Lahaina on the 27th of September and meet for first dives at Lahaina Harbor on September 28th 7am. Return to Oahu on the Sea Fox. You can camp on the Sea Fox or book a room on Lahaina if you want a real bed. We recommend the Best Western as it is steps from the Harbor. *Book early the hotel sells out.

We do this specific trip once a year, during the season when the weather can be a little rough, but if there is a small craft advisory in effect for any leg of the trip, the trip will be canceled with full refunds.

What to bring:
You will want something warm and something to put your head on the first night while we are underway. Bruce brought a low center of gravity small reclining lawn chair on one trip for the crossing and he looked comfy. Mike brought a waterproof tarp and wrapped it around his sleeping bag wetback on the wetback deck during the crossing. I thought he was nuts at the time, but he got up in the morning smiling. By day, you are going to be in your swimsuit. You will want something to wear in Lahaina, but since you won’t be in it too long, the clothes you show up in and one more set should do it. Don’t over pack. Otherwise, toiletries and sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and towels should do it. Maybe a favorite snack, but there will be plenty of food. A dive computer is good since we’ll be doing a lot of dives with the possibility for some deep depths and a camera for sure.
